Saul.

Rode the tt course today, pretty good course.  Wide open and rolling until the last 5km when things get a bit disco.  Some tight corners and a few steep climbs, should make things interesting.  Toss in wind and rain and the winner may be someone who rides a technically sound race.  My prediction?  Zabriskie, McCartney, Wherry, Baldwin, and VanUlden.  On a stellar day I may have a shot of cracking that top 5.

Saw Saul Raisin at dinner this evening, he was just departing the restaurant with his parents.  Was able to  chat with him for a minute.  Very nice to see him on his feet and in good spirits.  After his crash and subsequent brain damage a few months ago I am ecstatic to see him up and about so quickly.  I hope to ride with him Saturday morning.

First off, catch the Boulder Cruiser bike ride weekly at Scott Carpenter Park at 7:30. Year round. Stay tuned via the cruiser web site for the weekly theme. Me? I go weekly in full Cutter kit.

Off to nationals in a few days for the tt and road race. Pretty excited, the last few weeks have gone very well. Building on a hard race in Utah, think that I’ve gained quite a bit of strength since then. Here is the schedule for the rest of the season:

National TT September 1

National RR September 3

Atlanta 100k September 4

Univest GP September 9-10

Parker, CO Omnium September 15-17

National Team Track Camp in C.Springs September 18-24

Sun Tour Australia October 8-14
