Did an amazing ride on Saturday, the hand is feeling fine and am not having any more problems holding the handlebars.  Climbed up Flagstaff, up past Gross and into Coal Creek. Across to Magnolia, up and over to Ned, across to Ward then down over Lee Hill and back into Boulder.  Stoked for Nez this week then Fitchburg afterwards.  I think that I’m on track to put in some good rides these next two weeks, the big goal right now is Cascade then Utah.
So, saw a link on cyclingnews two weeks ago or so for a band from LA riding cross country via bicycle to all their venues.  Digging on their music quite a bit, kinda folky pop.  The Ditty Bops. And a video link to a great gig they did on the radio for KCRW. I’ll be seeing them when they pass through Denver.

Still in Boulder

Still kicking it here in Boulder, should be out racing in Nature Valley right now but I managed to drop myself on an easy ride on Monday. Nothing serious, just whacked my right hand again and have been stuck on the trainer for a few days. Should be 100% for Nez next week.
Caught a show at Boulder theatre last night, the Beastie Boys documentary Awesome:I shot that. Sweet way of making a documentary, hand out 50 minicams to your fans at a huge show at Madison Sq. Garden and let them record what they please.  Then edit everything together to give a unique view of a concert.

Off to Neko Case tonight.

Should actually write a bit more about Mt. Hood last week. I think the last few posts have been possibly the lamest I’ve written. So. Flew into Portland and was greeted with 75 degrees and amazing sun. Drove out to Hood River in our rented minivan(pimp). Threw the bikes together and went out for an amazing ride with the Big Paki who came out for the day from Portland. He took us out over the prologue and tt courses. Amazing day on the bike, just perfect weather. I immediately looked at real estate that afternoon. Unfortunately it looks as though Hood River is already a big destination for affluent people looking for a second home. Nothing under $350,000 Read the rest of this entry »

Just back to Boulder after racing up in Oregon in Mt. Hood. Things went pretty good, squeezed out a stage win and a couple of second places along with second overall to O’neill from HealthNet.
