After a few weeks at home post-tour of cali I’m back off to the airport. A quick flight into Ontario then I’ll meet up with the rest of the Nav squad. Tomorrows prologue sounds interesting, a bit of mellow climbing from the start then it kicks up steep for a few km’s. 5K total, prob about a ten minute effort. I’m looking forward to it! I hope that the hard training at home these past few weeks will be showing itself with some strong legs. I’m leaving the powerbook at home and will be doing some audio posting these next few days. Hope there are a few pics of me on the podium this weekend!

Fast times at Cleez’s on the scooter. Practised getting mad air off the doubles in his back yard.

Redlands is coming.

Well, a few days out from my next race out in Redlands California. I’ve been enjoying my time at home lately. Finally all healed up from my heinous crash on the last day of the Tour of Cali. Lost a lot of skin there and was really hurting for a few days. Got pretty sick of the daily routine of an hour’s worth of changing bandages post shower. Have had a solid past ten days of training and I’m looking forward to the prologue in Redlands Friday. With the help of the guys over at Fairwheel Bikes I’ve got my new C-50 down to the UCI limit of 15 pounds.

Just getting the hang of the new website here, should be a nice format I think. I’ll be able link up with my flickr account and will be doing regular audio posts. My email was down for a few days but I think that phil@philzajicek.com should be back up today. Drop me a line or leave a comment if you’d like.

Big thanks to VanMan and Cleez for all the work on the new site. Very cool.
Some real posts to come. For now. It’s bedtime.
